@RatLantern Yes, dude1818 is right. It's because Elemental isn't a land type. I misread Myriad Landscape.
About it not having a mana ability: I assumed that any basic land had an intrinsic ability to produce mana of some kind. And I thought it not having any type would mean it produced colorless mana. And I assumed wrong. Theoretically all Wastes have the rules text of
: Add
. So this should too.
Thanks for looking over it!
I googled the question again and looked for more answers, and dude1818 is entirely right!

"So… Wastes doesn’t have a land type. This means we can’t search up two Wastes with Myriad Landscape since they don’t share a type with each other.
This leaves the big question of can we search for one Wastes? Is having a basic land type required to be found at all?
No, you can find any basic land if you’re only searching for one land. Sharing a basic land type only matters if you find multiple lands.
This was clarified with an updated Gatherer ruling in 2018."
So... yea! Can fetch one but not two. Today I learned, thank you.
That's incorrect. Myriad Landscape can fetch one Wastes, but not two, since they don't have a land type to share. Likewise, it could fetch one of these, but not two
This seems to have no mana ability. Is that intentional?
I don't think Myriad Landscape will be able to work, because this has no Land Type. For example, Wastes don't have a land type, so you can't fetch those, even though they're Basic.
Completely changed the wording for the melded Creatures. Milling is porentially stronger than life gain, but those are supposed to be the means to an end.
completely changed the wording on the melded creatures. I have no idea if they're balanced.
Made it more efficient. It's kind of unlikely that a players deck is completely full of lands that enter the battlefield tapped.
Formerly had size advantage 1, now provides big creatures with size advantage. Changes made on the suggestions of a friend: "small green creatures help big green creatures."
Changed it on suggestions of a friend. Every sleep counter now makes it more tempting to block with this guy.
Formerly this just gave you spirits, now you actively have to produce spirits by yourself.
This guy formerly was nothing before being a Creature, now they're an enchantment.
