Mechanics | About Building Blocks

Gravebound : As this spell resolves, put it into your graveyard instead. If it is put into your graveyard or enters the battlefield, if you didn't cast it, exile it instead. Used on 12 cards: Life in the Boneyard, Unhallowed Ground, Syphoning Tomb Rune, Bind the Soul, Hungry Soil, Seeds in the Soil, Marrow Song, Open the Coffins, Medium's Pearl, Light from Beyond, Make Possible, Ancestor's Call

This are Enchantments that affect the game from the graveyard.

Size advantage : This creature can only be blocked by creatures with a total power of PARAM1ASWORDS or less. Used on 2 cards: Towering Titan, Trampling Titanosaurus

This mechanic more or less ensures, that the creature survives combat. It's a green mechanic.

Steal: Put the top PARAM1ASWORDS cards of target opponents library onto the battlefield face down under your control. They're Loot artifacts. Used on 3 cards: Carriage Takeover, Paid Cutthroat, Gem Looter Hulk

This creates material to sacrifice to other cards in the set. It creates Artifacts out of the cards from an opponent's library. It's a primarily red mechanic, but it appears in blue and black as well. White has some counter measures to this mechanic.

In card text or details pages, write the mechanic's code name (playtest name) between square brackets, like "[Crittercast]", "[Bushido 1]" or "[Delay 4 {2}{R}{R}]". It will be expanded to the mechanic's name plus reminder text, such as "Suspend 4 – {2}{r}{r}. (Rather than cast this spell from your hand,...)"
To expand a mechanic's name but not its reminder text, include parentheses at the end of the square brackets: "[Crittercast()]", "[Delay 9 {R}()]".
