Used to also have "
: roll ..."; now a nat four explodes.
Mhm, I see it may make turns take too long to sit through - even if power-wise I don't think is problematic. The untap ability does have to go, but it does feel quite weak with only the tap one; I'll tweak it a little.
This is really annoying to play with/against.
For instance, if a 2/1 Goblin gets paired with a 10/10 Eldrazi, then the Eldrazi will be a 2/1 and the Goblin a 10/10 (until either one leaves the battlefield or changes controller)
I want this to specifically be a shrimp, not a crab, though I guess Crab's the most similar available type (or perhaps Trilobite?)
t Cat Wizard --> Cat
mana cost 2w --> 2ww
This feels like a very nice card from 4th-edition era. Cat, nine lives got it. Nice. (Although slightly odd that the familiar is itself a wizard?)
A more modern design would simplify this - 9 lives is basically never going to get used up, so may as well just give this indestructible.
And then this lets you notice that three mana is just slightly too cheap for a 1/1 that is unkillable with no ongoing cost for the unkillableness.
id w --> rw (it may be more appropriate in black, though probably not flavor-wise). It now can ultimate right away.
The ultimate also feels over-cost.
