Mmm. edited the first thing, and making a mental note of the second part. I like the very minor loss of 1 life per turn. It puts a clock, albeit a slow one, on the defensive player. It tells them they can't just sit behind this card forever. That being the case, sometimes good ideas have to be dropped for set consistency. Since I'm far from finalizing the set, it can keep it for now, but I'm keeping this one in mind.
Careful of multiplayer. Should this be "ATBO each opponent's upkeep"? Probably.
I think you could make a monowhite version of this without the life loss (or even with it, evoking Glacial Chasm or some such).
Ramdom Generator spat back Mana Short and Axelrod Gunnarson. All right! Not much to say here, except I'm happy to make a kick-ass old school legend a dangerous threat again. Also, I have no idea how to infer that Wheeler is a long lost relative of Axelrod. Maybe flavor can make a backstory.
Random Card generated Hermit Druid Avatar and Whiptail Moloch. Hey! I was waiting for one of the oddball cards in Gatherer to show up! I tried doing something unique with the avatar, but his ability is only different from Hermit Druid in that he uses Magic Online Magic to take lands out of your deck at random. Well, the Hermit Druid's clause about filling your graveyard was only abusive because he was so cheap, and He could keep doing it. This version makes you want to have maybe a 40% land mix to be strong. Go figure.
Random Card Generator spat back Island Sanctuary and Phyrexian Arena. Nice. Since the cards are at odds with each other, I flipped it and gave the decision to your opponent. I don't like multi-colored cards, when I can avoid it, but there are too many black elements (life loss as a cost, skipping draw steps) and white elements (deciding who attacks and who doesn't, favoring flyers), that I guess I have to. Could be argued as a White-Black Hybrid card, I suppose. I may need to go back later and see what I want to do about all these gold cards...
