Hmmm, tokens in your hand? It would get there and then go "but wait, I'm a token" before disappearing forever. There are a few ways this could work differently, we have token creatures and token artifacts, why not tojken enchantments? This could have {0}, Sac this: target creature gets +1/+1 UEoT. Or you could have it put growth tokens on itself and remove them for {0} to give out +1/+1 UEoT tyo other things. As it is currently worded this just won't work with the current rules for tokens. Interesting idea though

Oh, I'm perfectly aware that this won't work using the current rules. When my group drafts these cards, I'm going to have to pull one of these cards out and explain something like this:
"There are 6 cards in the set that create token instants. Token instants can be put into the hand like regular cards, but when they leave your hand or the stack, they cease to exist. Token instants are marked on both sides, so your opponent can always see them in your hand, and if your opponent asks, you must tell him how many and which token instants are in your hand".

The set plays around with Wisdom (Having lots of cards in your hand) and Hellbent (Having no cards in your hand), so this is me getting a little experimental with finding alternative ways to increase hand size without getting the power of "draw a card". If I was trying to run for The Great Designer Search 3, I'd probably hide these because it would require too much explaining to get my point across. If I worked for Wizards, though, I'd pull these out and talk to the rules team about it. Things like Flip cards, Split Cards, Colorless cards and Level Up was once considered too weird for the general public as well...

It is a very funky and mind-boggling ability. You should create those tokens as cards with Token rarity in this set; then they'd come up in the boosters if you use the booster link, or you could just print them out when you print the rest of the cards.

Duelly noted. I will have to make them up. I've also got a cycle of split cards and or flip cards that contain the five "bad" common creatures (Pearled Unicorn, Sea Hawk, Dripping Dead, Mons Goblin Raiders and Quirion Trailblazer). I put those 5 in the Timeshifted slot in the Core Set, and gave players multiple ways to tutor them from their sideboard. It's kind of funny when Mons Goblin Raiders becomes a 5th pick.

I know it will probably be some time before you get around to split/flips, but I was just planning on sending all this stuff over to MTG Card Maker when I was done and printing it there anyway. Those 5 cards would be such oddballs anyway, that I'm sure people would have a bunch of odd comments without understanding the context.

Split and flip cards I've been wanting to add for a long time. They have some technical challenges from a database point of view - if someone searches for cards with type "Legendary Creature - Human Wizard", for example, I'd like the search to find the flipped form of Student of Elements. So they have to be stored in the database as two linked cards. I definitely am going to get to them at some point, but it's unlikely to be in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for mentioning, though, because each new person wanting to use them makes me more likely to implement them.

I'd like to see them, too, but I can understand why they would be far down the list of things to do. So, no pressure.
