The cost should probably be "Sacrifice a land".
Interesting. Reminiscent of Squandered Resources, which was famously broken, but the
symbol may save it. Clearly has potential for explosive starts - two of them let you drop a turn 2 Primordial Titan or Wurmcoil Engine. But in most cases you'll be setting yourself back in resources to do so, so... I'm not sure whether it might be safer to have a mana cost of

Anyway, an interesting design.
The original cost was "

That'd make it rather less splashy, as the artifact is then only giving you 1 mana plus a wash, rather than 2 mana. It'd be more balanced, but also less exciting.
