what are we using charge counters for? Also this seems far too efficient for a common.
Circeus: That's something I've been wondering myself. We have LOTS of charge-counter centric ideas, but no actual cards with charge counters. I think we could just go a Mirrodin route and have lots of 'limited-use' artifacts though, with some interesting differences - like the Workshop cycle, or perhaps a cycle that can tap to recharge. (Useful with Canisters)
BTW, isn't tinker a serious troublemaker in creating common cards that can put two different types of counters on the same card (a big R&D no-no)?
yup, thus why I've never really advocated tinker. I doubt it will last the first round of playtesting.
Mm, this is true Circeus. It could either say noncreature artifact, or we could scrap the mechanic entirely.
