This was sort of a top-down design of a wizardly Robin Hood that got out of hand. Look at all that text! Ah! And that slightly out-of-pie mana ability!
This is the colors it is because I'd like it to play nice with Zedruu, but if I was being honest, it would probably be Bant... Maybe. Hmm. Let me break it down.

  • Flying is anything but green, really
  • Vigilance is {w/g}.
  • Mana abilities are almost exclusively {g}'s domain, but they appear in blue when powering out artifacts and they have been stretched into {r/w}. I think a mana ability limited to paying for stolen spells and abilities could be blue, but this isn't the place for it since there's already no room.
  • The attack trigger is certainly {u} to its core. Blue is the color of permanent control changing. However, {r} does get to steal spells on occasion, though (as on Mindclaw Shaman).
  • The spellcasting trigger is pretty {u} to me, though it's reminiscent of Bazaar Trader and, of course, of Zedruu the Greathearted. Mechanically, it's blue, but it feels like it should be white.
  • All of this makes me think this card is {r}{g}{u}, but the overall feel makes me think it should have {w}, despite the fact that it has no mechanics that require it. I wonder if this should be four colors.

All this thought is a bit silly (and probably full of typos because I've done it from my phone), because the design is far too wordy and cluttered.

Yeah, the mana ability should clearly go. But once that happens, I think this is fine in colours:

I can see this being in {u}{w} without the mana ability. Possibly the "give spells to opponents" bit does justify the {r}.

The "give spells to opponents" bit is actually really interesting, though, enough so to justify being on a card on its own so it gets more focus. It's obviously awesome with One with Nothing :D But notably, the opponent doesn't get to change the targets. So Char/Psionic Blast becomes some hideous fully-kicked Illuminate.

Sadly it'd probably get killed by development, though, because things like Eater of Days and Leveler are probably just a bit too good and unfun with it.

Yeah, this is a big dumb card. Let's make some changes.
