I literally just designed an almost identical card last night, except it was an Aura, rather than an equipment, and the ability wasn’t keyworded.

It would have to lose the Aura subtype too, then, right?

Technically. It looked a little wonky, so I left it out of my set

Equipment is definitely suited better for this mechanic than Aura due to the unfortunate trait of Auras to die if unattached - giving this mechanic concise and elegant text.
