Mmm... yeah, the flavour doesn't quite work there, I'll admit. Would it still be interesting enough if it lost the trample line? Also, there's a question whether the mechanics of this are too close to Silkvine.

Yikes. Life total balloon-o-rama! Also rather out of pie for green, sadly. Vigilance is in the green "crust" of the pie, the bits occasionally seen, so I could possibly replace trample with that.

Vigilance could work, but Trample's more fun. Can't you just reconcept it? If it's not a spider, it'll work better.

I love the name fwiw. How about "Creatures with toughness 1 can't block"? That's weird and I don't know how well it would work, but has some of the flavour of trample, but concept as tangling rather than enabling.

Jack: I think I prefer to keep the symmetry between the two enchantment-style abilities. But alternate concepts for things similar to trample are definitely worth bearing in mind. Chris: I was thinking I needed to keep the Spider type for the anti-flying, but actually, I really don't. I can make this an Elemental or some such (something that makes sense as an Enchantment Creature). That'll help distance it from Silkvine too. Excellent!
