Ah, another in the Eight-and-a-Half-Tails / Sygg, River Guide family. A much cheaper effect, but restricted to only work on artifacts, so probably fine.
I don't know, it should probably cost more, since Sygg and Tailsy are legendary. That or it should be limited to noncreature artifacts.
Yeah, on reconsideration I think
should be the absolute minimum cost for this effect. Sygg only worked on Merfolk, and 8.5Tails needed 
in the general case.
I agree, if it affects creatures. I think if it's noncreature, though, a case could be made for it only being an activation of
. After all, not being able to do creatures means not being able to affect combat. Protection is just at its most useful on creatures.
