For Challenge # 060
I wasn't at all sure what could be going on in this picture, so I went with "unlikely alliance".
I wasn't sure what had been done before, but I felt bi-tribal was a good spot, letting lords of either support both.
I wasn't sure about +1/+1, but I felt it needed something above the bare ability, and that wasn't too strong at 4-cost.
Ha! I admit, I pulled forward this Gorey illustration for it's sheer weirdness. That, and the picture of a little girl alone in the woods with an axe in her back and footsteps leading away was evocative... but I didn't want to see the Magic cards that would have spawned from that one.
I like what's going on here, but I regret to inform you that there's already a card called Unlikely Alliance. It also has very odd art. :D
Doh! Any suggestions for a non-duplicate name?
I ideally want connotations of an alliance which is unlikely or incongruous, but not that there's something wrong with it.

Yeah, I had no idea what to do with this at first, but I think the challenge benefits from a couple of weird ones that invite more creative interpretations.
Well, 'Unlikely Alliance' was probably a bad name for an artifact anyway. Actually, when I think about it, this card probably makes more sense as a
enchantment anyways. But let's assume this is more like the tribal automaton. Perhaps we can pretend there's a treaty on the table? Perhaps the words 'Mutual Interest' can be involved?
OK, mutual interest seems a good start.
Yeah, I concepted this as possibly representing the physical treaty, although that worked better when it was "treaty" not "alliance".
Not sure about colour. I couldn't decide which was tribal, so I decided it was fairest to make it an artifact so any tribal deck could use it. But maybe the pump pushes it to white.
This looks like Adaptive Automaton to me, so seems fine in artifact.
Also, my Onslaught Zombie Clerics deck would love this. Boneknitter, Deathmark Prelate, Rotlung Reanimator, Gangrenous Goliath, Shepherd of Rot... sadly not Infernal Caretaker, but you can't have everything.
