Well, for a paint from {1} -> {b} . Given that Spellbook costs {0} , that's probably OK.

I don't know if I'd call it 'arguably the most abused card ever printed'. It has never, for example, been banned. And while it's a better card than Underworld Connections, untapping the arena doesn't do much. It sure is good, though. I wouldn't want to see a card that was carte blanche better than it.

Underworld Connections is also better in that you can stop tapping it if the lifeloss threatens to kill you.

But yeah, Vitenka's being rather hyperbolic, as he has been known to be on occasion in the past ;)
