I don't think you can trigger at the end of a step. Besides which, this could trigger at the start of declare blockers, because the turn-based action of declaring blockers happens before players get priority and triggers go on the stack

It's possible that you'd still want reminder text like "(After blockers are declared.)"

For the last ability, is it intentional that if you kill the opponent (in a multiplayer game), you regain control of the Assassin token? The alternative is having target player create the token, instead of changing control after you create it

If the opponent creates the token, you don't own it, which removes the synergy between the two abilities.

Ohh, I misread the first ability as "you control"
