Welcome back to Name That Card! Today we have an aura that replaces itself, powers up the creature, then launches it against the biggest threat at the table. That might already be tricky to name, but making the card a Saga puts an extra little twist of the knife.

If you would like this to be a mono-red or a mono-green card, feel free to write that in. I made it R/G hybrid only because I could.

But what is the name of this card?

Just from a design perspective, this doesn't work at all. You put +1/+1 counters on the aura, but then don't do anything with them. You also include a redundant "sacrifice this" at the end, even though the saga rules make you sac it anyway

Agree with dude, and you also misspelled Aura in the typeline.

However, I absolutely adore this design and have my name right here:

Name: Sarkhan Kills A Bear

Art: Variant of Savage Punch Epic Confrontation Really Epic Punch

Flavor: "Holy Shit" - Jolrael Empress of Beasts

If you want something less memetastic, then take this:

Name: Savage Glory

Art: Still a variant of Savage Punch Epic Confrontation Really Epic Punch

Flavor: Whether he wins or loses, the warrior will find himself in Valhalla for his bravery

Ordeal of Xenagos, but instead of instead of being a quest given by him like the Ordeal of Heliod cycle, it's the record of the terrible things he accomplished while temporarily deified

Oof. Triple whoops. Thank you guys for catching my typos.

Champion's Prophecy

I wanted something that brought in the card too. I wish I could tie this to s more specific character though.

I really like the bear one :)

Thanks :)

I also wanted to try three other things but couldn't find a solid idea, maybe you guys could use 'em:

  1. Garruk doing cool stuff

  2. Use the name 'Baldr' or some distinctively 'norse mytho' name

  3. I really wanted to find a way to make this 'saga' have the flavor of 'recounting and gloating about your own story of bravery (which has become a sort of magical power for you) from Valhalla' but couldn't so settled with my second choice.

Froggy wins this week by making every character in the multiverse potentially go through Sarkhan's bear punching journey. See everybody in (((NTC #096)))!

HELL YEAH BROTHER
