NTC #023 creates artifact tokens. Why? What kind? To what end? All these questions and more can be answered when you Name That Card!
Broken Springcoil. Cog artifact token.
Currency Inflator. Gold artifact token.
Mox rain. Artifact token called "stone mox".
Company store. Scrip artifact token.
Clockwork Tombola. Prize artifact token.
Bootleg Mint Printing Press. Toilet paper artifact token.
Statue Sculptifier. VP artifact token.
Failed Cloning Machine. Copy of target creature except it's a colourless artifact with no abilities.
Not many people contributing to this one. Honestly, I get it. It's not an artifact that really inspires creativity. That's okay, though. Jack supplied an entire community worth of answers. ;)
Let's go with the Company Store. Anything that makes me look up a word gets bonus points from me, and I've never heard of scrip before. I also like how scrip is both valuable and valueless. See you guys again in (((NTC #024))).
But what does the scrip token do? I imagine it's treasure, but only for
Thank you! I thought of every flavorful but useless object I could :) Glad "the entry that taught me the most about socialism" won :)
@Dude: Outside of this card? If I was to make Scrip tokens, I'd probably force a player to cash them all in at once, since you can't make change with them. Maybe something like:
Tin Soldier
Artifact Creature - Soldier
Vigilance
You may sacrifice four Scrip tokens, rather than pay this spell's mana cost.
1/4
I admit, it's kind of weird coming up for a mechanic for a token which I designed to do nothing (besides be available for metalcraft or sacrifices.) But creating a mechanic that uses Scrip would make the pill easier to swallow, true.
