Vague sketches of the story:

I'm not sure whether the mage-scientists originated on Ravnica, Ulgrotha, or Vryn (Ulgrotha has extraplanar portals, and the "garden" name plays nicely with the Eden corporation from the original RP; Vryn feels slightly more organized and scientific; Ravnica feels overplayed but does evoke the implied-to-be-overdeveloped Earth of the original RP). How are they getting through while still alive? Unsure.

Still working on Virisan characters; I do want to lay out some Planeswalker appearances. - Lukka (revisionist timeline, never compleated; Wizards did an autistic king so dirty and he deserves to chill out with a big merfolk) - Huatli and Saheeli (romance sees growing pains -- Saheeli starts out working with the mage-scientists; Huatli visits and ends up siding with the ichthae, straining her relationship with Saheeli when diplomacy breaks down) - Kasmina, maybe? (explore more of What Her Deal Is) - Tezzeret, possibly (Planar Bridge shenanigans, also I want to see him get unceremoniously eaten by a huge beast) - Kiora? (no connection other than "it's a Merfolk tribal set", but it's Something) - I want more Niko Aris but have no idea how to fit them in - in the original RP, ichthae had original design intent as biological mecha, and some could swallow and fuse with humans; I think there might be a mage-scientist and an ichthae, each with an ember, who simultaneously ignite during this process?
