Some of the planeswalkers are disturbed by the wake of destruction that they see from the Eldrazi and fear that it will spread throughout the planes. Jace decides to search other planes for answers and arrives at a plane that has been aware of the danger for quite some time. The society is technologically advanced and have been focusing their efforts on creating something that would stop the Eldrazi for good. After years of experimentation, mixing magic and technology, they have created a solution, giant viruses and bacteria which are capable of killing the Eldrazi. Unfortunately, some of these have escaped and are wreaking havoc in their plane.

Weilders of different mana have tried different methods of building defenses. White mana mages have focused more on defense both from the Eldrazi and from the newly growing threat of the eaxperimental abominations of thier realm. Black mages have worked together with thier blue counterparts to delve into the genome of many creatures making them more powerful and deadly. Red mages have realized the power of the Ghostfire and under the guidence of an extremely powerful planeswalker, have attempted to destroy by working around the natural defenses of thier enemies. Green and blue mages have worked together to create new life, new bacteria that are capable of many things. Among them, this new bacteria can replicate and hunt its enemies.

The eldrazi have yet to reach Epistímium in thier path of destruction, so its inhabitants wait and prepare.
