Ha, I didn't realize anyone was paying attention to this :) Yeah the flavor doesn't match the effect at all. This was a reminder to myself to put in a prevent damage effect AND a card with this name. I think LWN wants to be a Banisher Priest in spell form.

Sorry, yes; should have been clearer. This is strictly worse than a card that is already regarded as terrible :)

Flavour is nice, though not really fitting the mechanic?

See also: Healing Grace, Mending Hands, or, um, I guess Shieldmate's Blessing, which is a strictly better card while still receiving a 1.32 star rating, back when that meant something.
