I like how this cycle refer to the praetor's mechanics. A mini-gitaxias :P
The tension of whether to cast this on your turn or use it as a surprise flash creature is quite lopsided. I would be hard pressed to ever not to cast it on my turn for that additional card. IMO it's difficult to come up with a scenario where you would want to do the other and save it for a surprise block - or surprise attacker if cast on their end step. Maybe if they are at 2 life, you have no creatures, and they would be tempted to attack you with everything they got? Pretty niche.
Creature types would be appreciated btw.
The power level of this card should be fine, its a worse Sacred Cat which is also a common.
There are a few phyrexian cards that give life in white, so I dont think lifelink is breaking the flavour too much.
There's several common 1/1 white lifelink for 1 already so I assume this is fine.
I agree, it looks odd, white's lifelink is usually flavoured positively; but phyrexians leach life out of creatures, if they're white, I don't see why that shouldn't be lifelink.
Slightly powerful for a one-drop; slightly surprising to see at common; but not overly improbable.
Not sure why it's phy though.
