A lot of players aren't going to understand that you can't sacrifice the ooze that you Splinter for, because the timing is wrong. Even for those that do realize that, this nonbo just feels bad...
Also might be shaped up by the change to 2 life. I wanted kinda powerful conditionally untapped lands. Might be an iffy space to be playing in, Grove is kind of a mistake.
This card is for the memes, also some kinda transform shenanigans. Pretty sure I wouldn't change this.
I guess splinter can be bumped up to 2 life, I don't know how the limited format will look like yet but 2 life seems like a lot on a mechanic that would potentially go on a bunch of cards.
They changed the rules recently so I'm pretty unsure on how it works exactly.
I don't think aiming to be conditionally better than Bump in the Night is where I'd want to aim to be, not that I'd know where I'd want to cost this for it to be fun for limited, interesting in constructed. Maybe a card like this is too hard to tune the numbers on and the idea should just be scrapped.
You'd cast it as the first, it draws equal to the number of fathomed cards. Its like a delayed windfall that you get to draw for the cards played as well.
Not sure why Fathom is needed here. You never draw the cards immediately, so why wouldn't you cast this as the last spell you wanted to cast from your hand? Only thing I can think of is instant speeding some stuff at end of your turn, but that's very niche.
Seems strong when compared to cards like Khalni Garden.
Seems fairly weak. This doesn't have evasion or protection, and the lifegain on it is fairly mediocre. I'd like this much better if this was an Instant, but even then it's fairly weak.
1 life for a 1/1 is pretty low and insignificant. This is almost always "Pay 2 life: Get 2 Oozes".
