Here's another idea:
Sol Ring (Except it's a land)

Sol Ring (Except it's a land) comes into play tapped, but adds a mana to your mana pool when you play it.

I think we can expect dual lands better than in Masques, but yeah -- this is one of those lands which I like, but need some balancing before you can call the design finished, there's not muchh point critiquing it as is, if in a green deck, its better than Copperline Gorge and better than mountain. I'm not sure what current standards are for mana acceleration in lands, but it probably shouldn't be unlimited, alas.
