On Phoenix's Layer:

@Jack V: I'd say the Sandstone Needle cycle are more powerful than modern lands. I think they're too explosive to be reprinted. They let you cast a 5-drop on turn 3 and a 7-drop on turn 4, without any other acceleration, and in any colour.

So anything that's better than Sandstone Needle is basically just absurd.

On Raging Treefolk:

There is no point to the first ability, unless you have cards that specifically require colorless mana to cast.

On Double Clone:

This doesn't really make sense. In fact, it doesn't make sense at all as a creature. It should be a sorcery, I think.

On Mana-Mania:

...When do I add this mana to my pool? And what do I use it for? And why is this so expensive?

On Phoenix's Layer:

Also, by "layer" do you mean "lair?"

On Phoenix's Layer:

But what does your set have to do with Phyrexia? Also, the others have already pointed out that this is too good. Why would you want to make it better?

On Phoenix's Layer:

i was thinking instead of the {g}, i was thinking {pg}, cound play it in any deck then right? :)

On Phoenix's Layer:

Here's another idea:

Sol Ring (Except it's a land)
Land
Sol Ring (Except it's a land) comes into play tapped, but adds a mana to your mana pool when you play it.
{t}: Add {2} to your mana pool.

On Phoenix's Layer:

I think we can expect dual lands better than in Masques, but yeah -- this is one of those lands which I like, but need some balancing before you can call the design finished, there's not muchh point critiquing it as is, if in a green deck, its better than Copperline Gorge and better than mountain. I'm not sure what current standards are for mana acceleration in lands, but it probably shouldn't be unlimited, alas.

On Phoenix's Layer:

Pretty damn good when compared to Rupture Spire as well.
