This is to powerfull, 0 mana for T: add 1 mana is to good for being a common, i think you shall change it to 2 CC or add a downside.

At the very least, this card would be rare... probably Mythic. I can't see any reason why every deck in almost every environment wouldn't just pack 4 of these. The power missing a land drop gives you trumps getting the color you need the vast majority of the time. If this card was in Alara block, people would stop playing three colored spells... it wouldn't be as good as getting the occasional 4 drop on round 1.

Heh. This whole set isn't intended to be played with normal Magic cards. It's an attempt to translate the game Dominion into Magic terminology...

There used to be a format called 5-Color which was basically online Prismatic, but played for ante. They had special tournaments where winning got you an official (in that format anyway) proxy card which was exactly this, only they called it Mox Crystal and gave it a gold "5C" symbol.

Hah! Funny. But, I kind of don't get it. Are these cards intended to be played like normal Magic cards, or are they intended to be played in a Magicified game of Dominion? Do Copper Medalions go to your discard pile, along with the other cards you played and cards in your hand at end of turn?

I know when Dominion came out, one of the first things we thought to do is make a Magic format that operated using Dominion rules. Pile of cards to buy from in the center et al. Never could get the idea off the ground, though, what with them being two different games...

There was a brief fashion a few months ago, for trying to use Multiverse to design Dominion cards. There's Vitenka's Dominate! set, and I think there may have been another one that was deleted.

This set was my thinking-out-loud attempt to translate Dominion into the rules of Magic. It needs Laying Down the Rules on the battlefield to make sense. Even then, the problem is pointed out on Woodcutter. So I didn't get very far with it.
