Curious choice for a reprint. Birds of Paradise I'll give you by the same logic that Mindslaver was reprinted in Scars of Mirrodin, but EoDS?

Green is typically the color of fixing, and EoDS was very good for Golgari or just splashing black. Green classically has a common 1-drop accelerant in most sets in order to compete with other colors. If I took it out, I'd want to replace it with another good 1-drop accelerant that fixes.
