I'm not sure if you are intending this to eat all prowess triggers, including those on your opponents' creatures, or just its own.
Just as a general note, replacement effects (with word "instead") start with "if" where as abilities with "whenever" tend to be of the triggered ability category.
Looking at Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp, I think the wording might be something like
