I tried Phyrexian Mana. It's quite problematic to work with, but especially on a planeswalker.

Why isn't Slag Fiend an artifact? Because Phyrexia is blurring the line between artifact and nonartifact by turning flesh into metal and vice-versa.

There wouldn't be anything wrong with making it an artifact either. At first it was a mistake, but I don't not like what it says about Phyrexia.
