What? Don't you remember the time Liliana pretended to be an Elf and overran Lorwyn with Elf Zombies? Just me?
Must be a story reference to a custom card alternate reality rather than the canon storyline then. ; )
The idea was to re-imagine the Lorwyn Five mechanically tied into Lorwyn. Liliana is a weird case since I originally thought I'd fit her as someone exploiting Boggarts (hence the sacrifice theme).But then I swerved and considered she'd enjoy the company among the haughty elves more. Unfortunately Elves have the weakest tribal profile in Lorwyn as far as I recall.
