hmmm permanent. But you're right.
Is now black. Will never go back.
fair enough.
I chose a name because in this set it will be common for permanents to have multiple names, but all names may be less confusing. Need playtesting to find out imho
Shouldn't be too hard. Untap all my creatures for
? Good thing this doesn't cantrip, or all those Jeskai Ascendancy decks would be very, very happy.
You could use imitate here. "Untap all creatures you control. They imitate target permanent. (They gain all names of that permanent until end of turn.)"
Note that I specifically phrased my version of "imitate" as "gaining all names" so that there wouldn't be confusion regarding the wording "gains the name" and whether or not an object had multiple names or not. Is your intent that objects have multiple names, or that their name is erased and overwritten entirely by the mechanic?
Also, you'll have to sync up how you use imitate. You can either have it like it is on Banish Underground, where the subject and object of imitate are being spelled out, or like it is on Master of the Mind, but you can't have both. I suggest using the Banish Underground version, because it's both clearer and more flexible. In that case, Master of the Mind would read "Target permanent imitates another target permanent", and Duplicant Squire would read "When ~ ETBs, it imitates target permanent."
It could be white if it was an instant that said "exile target blocking creature," which would then also cut the power level of repeated castings... drastically.
This is clearly a black card, yes. The word "exile" is a decoy, but it's very clearly black (even if you leave the word "exile" on there, as on Silence the Believers or Sever the Bloodline).
As a black card... this is like Ashling, the Extinguisher if she also had Nekrataal's trigger. Except that a 1/1 is somewhat harder to get through with unblocked. (Somewhat easier if you've got a Nekrataal ability on ETB, of course!)
Note that this is basically equivalent to
> Unmakeing Titan

> Creature - Surprisingly-Small Giant
> When ~ ETBs and whenever it deals combat damage to a player,
> exile target creature.
> 1/1
Ooh, this is rather better than the rest of its cycle because it makes use of there being multiple things with this name.
Yikes! Isn't this an uncommon monowhite Vindicate?
This is still extremely powerful. Actually, is it any different from when I first commented? I bet Alex would very much dislike this card.
