But that cancels out tapping for rather than . There are a number of instances where you get either coloured mana + ETBT + benefit X, or colourless mana + ETB untapped + benefit X; for example Drifting Meadow's cycle vs Blasted Landscape.
Mmm, an Opal Palace for Shapeshifters. But it sacrifices itself? Given the restriction of only working on Shapeshifters, that's pretty harsh. Compare Llanowar Reborn (puts the +1/+1 counter on anything, and sticks around afterwards) or Cavern of Souls.
That's likely a fairer cost for Bubbling Muck than a single . The "Destroy target Swamp" line is rather odd though. Upping the cost from 1 to 4 (and from common to rare) is probably enough bump to restrict the combo potential, so this is really only any good if the opponent has Swamps... but it's a pretty weird kind of sideboard card. (Cf Cryoclasm.)
Streambed Aquitects was fairly good in Lorwyn. Admittedly that set had a ton of islandwalk. And that card's better than this in... 3 ways?
A 2/2 colour fixer that costs 4? And requires the colour it fixes into?
Can't have anything. Unless, I guess, you're bringing back Sea Serpent.
Can't have everything =]
If this cost less it would totally go in my Thada Adel, Acquisitor EDH deck.
Well, it works with something at least. There's still at least Raising Spirits and Umapuriq's Imposter in this set.
Um. It doesn't work with flashback, as a flashed-back card goes graveyard -> stack -> exile. It does work with Relic of Progenitus and friends though.

ETB untapped is a nice power bump over Llanowar Reborn mind you.

Oh, that's interesting. Its non-optionalness is gonna be an awkward tension, too.
