At the moment it's modifying artifacts, not creatures, so it'd have to be a Connector / Module / whatever else people call it . This set doesn't have artifact-equipment yet though.
why not make it equipment?
It does work as is (if you do stuff in response it's cheaper) but if you were a casual new player it probably doesn't work how you'd expect, which makes it a bit confusing. Especially at common.
Split Second, Tasteful.
The timing of this is pretty nasty. This ability goes on the stack, and people can cast spells before it resolves. Alternatively, somebody casts a removal spell on my artifact, and I try to use this in response... but what would that even do? They've already paid the
for Naturalize or whatever. Do they have to retroactively pay another
? Pay another
when this artifact's ability resolves? Pay another
when Naturalize tries to resolve?
Hmm. Technically combos with Sea Monsters, or potential color screw. I don't know if that's worth a full colorless and a draw, though.
Well; unlike the star this actually adds a mana, so is acceleration. Making it more comparable to Pentad Prism, imho. Which.. it also isn't quite as good as. Hmm. So maybe this can cost only
? It still only lets me bringer on turn 3.
Um. It's like Chromatic Star, except it costs twice as much and it doesn't cantrip. Is this quite what you meant?
It's exile permanently. I did compare it to Argentum Armor when creating it, but I wasn't sure how to cost it.
Hmm, it's a Scythe Tiger / Rogue Elephant. But with a rather more fiddly wording. Why not just have this say "sacrifice a land"? Why bother with the very unusual artifact-and-enchantment case?
Fun! Probably doesn't need to be so expensive, as it will only be able too copy something crazy if you've already found a way to get the crazy thing onto the battlefield first.
Really nice idea though. Makes me wish I'd thought of it for my steampunk set :)
Er... is the targeted permanent exiled UEOT, or exiled permanently? The first makes this seem rather expensive, but the second makes this seem better than Argentum Armor.
Ooh, nice nice. Reminds me of Confessor, which also shows that this probably isn't too black. There are others too... Pitchstone Wall, I think?
