Why does this do three completely unconnected things?
Yowch. This is easier to cast than first strike + deathtouch has ever been. Voracious Cobra (4 mana, 2 colours) is the iconic version, and as jmgariepy taught us there's also Glissa, the Traitor (3 mana, 2 colours but one doubled, mythic + legendary), Nirkana Cutthroat (12 mana), Pestilent Kathari (6 mana, 2 colours, temporary) and the new Master of Cruelties (5 mana, 2 colours, mythic). I'd suggest this should be 4 mana as comparable to Voracious Cobra. And that's only if you're really sure you want an invincible blocker like this as low as uncommon in your set.
A flipped Sygg, River Cutthroat. Pretty nice.
"Protection from coloured" would probably work, akin to Guardian of the Guildpact / Enemy of the Guildpact, but "protection from all colours" is probably easier to understand than that.
I like this, but I don't think it should be a common.
Hmm. A tweak on Misthollow Griffin. Fair enough, and the flavour is nice. Some aren't keen on the colour-pie implications of Misthollow Griffin, but the general consensus seems to be it's not too bad.
remove linebreaks to marginally aid text size
Ah, this is where the Mindculling colour-un-shift (pieification?) went. Cool.
Somewhere between Orcish Lumberjack and Goblin Clearcutter. The eat-a-dead-creature altcost is very good, meaning it'll basically be an Elvish Aberration late game. Which makes it exciting, but perhaps not overpowered.
Hmm, so there's a three-card cycle of "Elementals" in the Order of the Stick sense that have RGU friendly abilities? Carbon, Oxygen and this? But then there's also Sulfur and Nitrogen that don't have RGU friendly abilities?
Ha! The (playtest) name is a great nod to Sign in Blood.
Ah, I also hadn't realised that this is a two-card mini-cycle with Bury.
Instant Befoul? Seems rather good. Printable, still common, but Befoul was very good even as a sorcery.
It's not Oblivion Ring, it's Journey to Nowhere, and more than that, it's a fatter Fiend Hunter that is a callback to Faceless Butcher by including the black cost. Amuseum, you can check Fiend Hunter for the updated, slightly shorter wording
It's not much worse than "Why the heck was that ever printed?!" ... agree on the flying; makes this too much of a good blocker in addition.
It's a real shame it can't just be "Protection from colour." but ah well.
It's no worse than Invisible Stalker. Actually, it's probably "better," because the protection isn't one-sided. I feel like it could do without flying, since the protection will usually make it unblockable.
I like it, sneaks back from exile.
Limited usefulness out of set; in set probably pretty darn good. And we can always use more rat rogues.
