I don’t follow how this is convoke?
Eeep. Giving your elder-dragon convoke is kind of scary.
As for power level, having it close to slightly under the command cycle is the thought process, as it's 4 colored pips, with no duplicating colors.
Agreed. I've updated the choices to be less game state dependent, with the only game state choice being information that the caster should be able to weight accordingly.
Updated to try and bring up the power level.
I suppose the question is: What power level should a single option have? What simple effect is your reference?
A whole cycle is extra hard since you need twenty of those effects and make certain there is none that is so gamestate dependent that opponents can easily hand you a "do nothing".
This card has multiple such options - give you free land drops, when you are flooding or have no cards in hand, free cremate when the opponent doesn't work with the graveyards, free flicker when you are low on creatures etc.
I don't think, I would play this one though, if I got to make all the choices.
I agree that if more than one player chooses Cups, that scry 10+ is a lot, but just scry five, with the caster having to forego one of the other 3 choices (The reanimate and fight choices are arguably better, depending on the situation)
Originally had this at 3, but players in testing would choose Cups a high portion of the time.
Scry 5 option is silly. Im not just talking about the power level (though that, too), but it won't lead to good gameplay to let a player stack their deck that much.
Expanding on that. I feel pretty comfortable on Savagery, Justice, and Silence, but feel as though Annihilation is a bit on the too strong end with it's Show and Tell option, and that Pain is fairly weak for all four options when compared to the other 4.
Yeah. Still working on the Dissolution cycle. Not 100% happy with all of the modes for each of them, but I do know the over all options are to be null-Color, and worthy of a 4 CMC instant.
Weird to have four non-black colors, but the first mode is something most associated with black.
Also seems like a weak assortment of effects to go into four colors for. Unimpressive.
