I like the idea and the flavor, but this makes no sense to a player mechanically. It appears as though the creature has -10/-10 while in exile and then comes back fine. Lemme see if I can reword it to work. Even if that's not actually how it works, I'm not sure as a 6-year player, and if a 6-year player can't tell a new player definitely can't.
EDIT: Is this okay?
Nah, it seems fine. I like the concept overall a lot. As far as the back side, the second ability is ridiculous. Will edit for balance.
EDIT: Done.
Well, if it's too complicated to put on a creature, maybe it will make a good spell.
I'm not even going to try to fit "Enchantment" and/or "Fabrial" into the type line.
First ability on the flip is Elscalling, second is Soulcasting. What do you think about her cantriping ability? Too powerful?
Shouldn't the class subtype read "Human Eel?" :P
Yep. As I suspected, the watermark is too dark. I'll have to replace it.
5/7/16: Balanced now?
I think it's fine being similar to furnace.
Yeah, I needed something more permanent than just destroying stuff. He shattered the other Shards completely, beyond hope of recovery.
Is that a little similar to Furnace of Rath. It certainly does work, making battles bloodier and more destructive.
How about this?
Odium's Presence

Legendary Enchantment
If a source would deal damage to a creature or player, it deals double that damage to that creature or player instead.
Whenever a player casts a spell, that player sacrifices a permanent.
Out-of-pie. Neither black nor red are allowed to exile enchantments. Neither exile creatures all that often either, but it does happen for black sometimes.
Alrighty then.
I think it's fine. Counters aren't particularly rare in the game, and the second ability is already strong.
Well, I'm just worried it would be too parasitic without the self enablement. You would need a fairly strong counter infrastructure to make it work.
