Yay! Finally got to the mythics!
This mythic cycle is a cycle of 5 cards with only three words on them. See also: Time Stop, (((Night of Sovereignty))), Bedlam and Renew. It's supposed to be impactful, and some places it works, and some places less so. Evanesce's main problem, for example, is that it's hard to get all worked up about it. Originally, I had this at Desert Twister's cost (except white, and an instant), but players didn't really take to that. Fair enough. 3CC still seems balanced.
I have thought about making it cost to give it more punch... but then it's less playable to most players. It's especially tricky in a draft, which is the only stage of testing I often do anyway. Personally, I just wish I had a Future Future League who could tell me which version they like better.
It's a little unfortunate that this obsoletes Saltblast, but I do like it a lot (and I think the cost is pretty fair really).
