I selected Blasting Desert and Random Generator gave me Festering March. See Crooked Cliffs for an explanation as to what is happening.
Missing the "When you cycle" part of the text. looks like a lot for a Nausea, but I think it's probably right given it's (a) drawing you a card and (b) not taking up a spell slot.
Why do your creatures take a hit as well?
Because it'd have to be even more expensive if it were one-sided?
Thank you. Added "When you cycle". I also added the word may, so you didn't have to accidently wipe out your creatures to draw a card.
The costing on effects like this is rather difficult... I may have jumped up a bit much, but it's rather hard to tell what's fair here. The question I posited to myself is "Would people play with it?" I can expect some grumbles from players, but if this card is preferred over a basic swamp most of the time, then the power level is fine. Truth is, that instant speed -1/-1 won't come up much... but when it does, it can bust a game wide open.
You know, the more I think of it, the more I think "The Dude" is right. Festering March is rather unique among Nausea effects, and I should probably respect that. We'll see if people think this is too good after they play it... but it's probably just strong.
Swapping the "Happens every three turns" strangeness for being cycled? Seems strong, but not horrible.
