Random Generator gave me Plains and Blaze. Plains color shift Blaze to white and... oh. There's nothing to monkey with Blaze. If I got a swamp, maybe I'd just make Blaze a black sorcery... that's at least close to the right power level. White, though... can't do this... without serious monkeying, or talking about how a creature is attacking, and I don't feel like doing that right now.

So I went back to Guardian Angel and saw if I could find a way to update the thing. This card seems right on the money. In most cases, it will be worse than Safe Passage, but there's always the corner case that throwing this out there to prevent 1 damage to a creature you control as a combat trick might win you the game. Plus, this looks fun, so, in it goes.

You could perhaps do the vanilla version of Shining Shoal/Captain's Maneuver (since Harm's Way says that can be mono-white these days). But that'd probably have to be uncommon, where this is a nice common, so I guess this is fine.

Whaddya mean "These days" There's that cleric thingy whose name I never get right.
