Random generator gave me Dwarven Weaponsmith and Cartographer. A bit of a bastardization of both abilities, true, true. It's hard to guage what is fair here. Any card that involves sacrificing something important needs to be worth playing, so players don't feel bad when they play it. But it shouldn't be great, either, so players don't feel like they must play it.

Nice cyclical abilities, reminiscent of Body Snatcher. The card actually reminds me of Hunting Moa as a 3-mana 3/2 that puts a +1/+1 counter on your guys.

"put a +1/+1 counter" instead of "counters" and I think you can remove the comma as well.

Quite right. Also got rid of "If you do". Why penalize someone for putting a 3 cost creature into play withtout lands? That guy should get a reward.
