What is tribrid mana?

Tribrid mana is like hybrid mana, but each mana cost can be paid with one of three types or colors.

Theoretically it can also involve noncolored mana, like colorless, snow, and generic mana cost, but this set will avoid these. In this set, tribrid mana will only involve colored mana.

What does tribrid mana symbol look like?

A tribrid mana symbol will be a circle divided into three equal sections. The dividers radiate from the center, like slices of a pie. Creating three sections at the top, low left, and low right. Each section contains a different mana symbol pertaining to its type or color.

What is the frequency of tribrid mana in this set?

Estimate about a third of cards in this set will have tribrid mana costs to cast the spell. Consider that there are ten 3-color combinations. Each trio gets eight cards with tribrid mana costs, spread across all rarities. So total about 80 cards out of 250.

More cards may also have activated abilities with activation costs requiring tribrid mana.

Will there be tribrid lands or mana producers?

Very likely. A tribrid land or artifact may produce one of three different colors of mana. Tribrid in this case does not mean the mana cost to play the card, but in its ability to produce one of three colors.

If a tribrid mana would be produced, the player chooses one of the three types or colors, and adds it to their mana pool.
