Not really. Destroy target creature and make a token with an ability is fairly simple, esp since you have the card as a reminder
The card is quite wordy for a common btw.

Appendages huh. Pretty cool. Unsure why it's "take" an Appendage.
Removals-on-a-stick are, at least according to NWO, usually reversed to uncommon+ rarities - though dunno if f.i.r.e or some other newer design concepts might have affected that as of late.
I know this is the first card in the set, but I think it's really cool so I commented :) Also the flavor on the card is 100% perfect.
Tho, ima sucker for basic removal with smaller additional effects :)
