When Helpful Guide deals combat damage to a player, you may sacrifice it. If you do, add
to your mana pool at the start of your next main phase.

2/1
At the beginning of each upkeep, if Ticktock Man attacked last turn, put a -1/-1 counter on it. Else remove a +1/+1 counter from it.
3/3

2/2
Bravest Companion gets +1/+1 for each creature that blocked it this turn.
2/2
Tap all creatures. They don't untap during their controller's next untap phase.

Not sure if this set will be +1/+1 or -1/-1. This design could work either way but is slightly shorter this way.
Obviously similar to the clockwork creatures, but I wanted something that gave a feel of winding down and winding up, but not feel like you just never got anywhere.
I may need to tweak the exact size and timing.
See Bravest Companion.
I'm not doing exact copies of Wizard of Oz characters, but I'm going for that kind of feel with these recent cards.
I'd forgotten Reaper King was the first coloured cost artifact, before we saw it more widely :)
No idea what this costs.
Originally an inst/sorc, but I wanted to keep "choose from three" and the life loss, and that just wasn't that strong without a body.
I feel like there's so many examples of enchanted creatures I would like s theme which captures the concept. I'm not sure this works though, it's nice enough for frog, but for beast, the bonus of getting a smaller creature is just not that big.
And the cards want to work in slightly different ways so I can't quite use a keyword or ability word. But I feel like getting "enchanted" in there is useful. I guess they could have a common name. "Enchanted Beast"? "Ensorcelled Beast"?
Reflection! I made a reflection! Those are probably not creature types any more, right? :) Maybe it should be illusion. Or Djinn.
Originally "forbidden lore". Not sure of the right combination of numbers here.
Take that, people who exclude evil faeries from christenings! :)
I wondered if I could make it only work on creatures that ETB this turn, to play up the christening flavour, but the aura implementation seemed like it was going to be clunky.
There could be a selection of artifacts with this theme.
So you conceptually kinda like 'pay in time/memories'? Sure, yeah, I can buy that.
Reminds me of Lost in Thought.
