Backstory - Qat'Sek of the Jeskai way was a monk with a passion for learning. He was less impish in his behaviour than other Efreet and took it upon himself to earn the respect of his fellow monks by being the first Efreet to master the secrets of Soulfire and Mistfire. After years of study and practice, he eventually became proficient in the protective arts of Soulfire. He tried again and again numerous techniques to gain control over Mistfire, but when he finally succeeded, it was at the cost of a friend's very existence. The trauma of the experience sent him hurtling through the blind eternities. After several years, the Efreet Planeswalker made his way back home, only to find a world radically different than the one he remembered.
