To get things out of my system, so I'm not tempted to put them in Gentlemen Magicians simply to have somewhere to put them. Including a few cards which went into that set, but maybe shouldn't.
Cards in this set can now be added by any signed-in user. Jack retains admin privileges.
This is un-belivible!
I like the word Absurd, and I like the Gotcha mechanic from the past 'Un' sets, so I would like to make Absurd a mechanic. Still working on it, but the idea is that your opponent gets some ridiculous advantage over you, then you get the 'Absurd' effect which basically negates his or her advantage.
Absurd - If an opponent had 5 or more creatures enter the battlefield under his or her control this turn, you gain 50 life.
Also, Rourke's comment about this set being 'un-believable' made me think that is what this set (or the next Un-set Wizards does) should be called: Unbelievable.
Can not consider there's a topic that has eclipsed day-to-day Kardashian brunch reports. "Ermagerd, Ebola, we are all gonna daaa!" The amount of narrow minded people on the planet is astounding.
Has Judge Call been tested at all? It's really hard to mentally playtest, but un-mechanics are like that. I could see it being really fun, or really annoying/untenable.
Obviously, none of these cards have. The mechanic's idea is basically to allow the players to bluff the game into a sort of nomic where the rules are no longer stable.
I'm aware of the spikey potential of it, but then it can be responded by more fake rule arguments anyway due to the very nature of these cards. At least I'm pretty sure it can't cause the "no one does anything anymore" problem of gotcha.
I saw this somewhere: WotC should release the next Un-set this Friday, and name it "Unannounced."
Guys I'm working on a very large Un set that I call Uninspired. It's very inspired by pop culture in the real world. All the new rules, abilities and spells are flavorful and easily playable in regular formats.
