War's Toll was the inspiration, and I what I used for basis as the wording. From there, I thought what ability would interact well. Having lands locked down a turn really makes the player consider what spell or spells they'll be cl casting that turn. The stress appealed to me.
The problem isn't tapping all the lands. The problem is is the anti-untap clause.
War's Toll was still created in a time of mana burn. While the card still technically works and isn't entirely without use, the tension of mana burn provided was what this type of card really needed to be interesting.
The former is of a similar "We put words on cards, we don't worry about what they mean" era. But the latter is good evidence it's still a thing you can do.
Unsure if this should be white or green. My first instinct was white because it's intention is a combat trick. The original cost was , but I thought that was probably too high for a combat trick. Green is more graveyardy than white though. I could potentially even see this in black.
Followed SecretInfiltrator's wording

Should be:
> "[...] enchantment spells you cast this turn cost less to cast."

So Huh; did not know.
Cf. Mana Web, War's Toll
Ugh. This runs into all the problems of Mana Short and then goes and invents some new ones.
FAQ: What happens if I just tap out without spending the mana immediately?
This is a black effect, isn't it?
Please keep your pet cats indoors. Cats are incredibly dangerous to native wildlife.

Followed Froggychum's advice and switched p/t from 1/1 to 3/1
