I think I changed this so it could synergize with the new call of the sea update, which I kind of hate, but changed because it felt more blue...

this card just turned out to be written terribly.

I would expect this to be an uncommon. You need to hit an instant or a card with flash with that etb effect to be able to play it btw. That kinda puts flash into question. Why does a red common have flash anyway? Isn't the keyword primarily in sultai colors?

Why not a ETB or death trigger? That way it's not repeatable (which is actually better - you want some hidden information in your game), but also doesn't require active use if you'd rather trade the creature with an equivalent body.

Blue bears now. I remember the outcry over black bears. Good times.

So the first ability is mysterious; the second ablity is fine modulo a bit of templating - but it's a freaking 6/6 unblockable?! That's horrendously powerful!

It needs to be a replacement effect, then it works fine. "If ~ would leave the battlefield, return it to its owner's hand instead."

The last ability doesn't work, Imagine shuffling it into a library and then getting fatesealed etc. while the ability is on the stack.
How do you resolve the ability in that case?

On a mythic rare? Chances are this won't be the first card anyone pulls with this ability... if you're suggesting for the mechanic, I don't remember if I've done that, if not, I might have to do it by hand because batching wording is weird as h e c k
