Set 1 of 3 (hopefully) of the Armageddon block. ­

The setting is Earth in the 1960s at the height of the Cold War between the United States and the USSR. Both sides have stockpiled massive amounts of weaponry, enough to destroy the human race several times over, and the world is poised on the edge of a nuclear World War III.
Somehow, something mystical awakens upon the planet, causing mana to bloom across the world. The denizens of Earth, previously constrained to fighting with technology and espionage, now have the power to harness magic. Both sides see this as a opportunity to break the stalemate of the Cold War and turn the tide to their advantage. Meanwhile, other groups of people decide to use these newfound powers for their own agendas. And all hell breaks loose.
