On second thought, this is too complicated for common.
If we do end up doing a cycle, I might move it to WoR, so we don't run out of cycles for that set. We'll see how it goes. I have a good idea for "Thrill of Discovery" (the U one). It would represent Kaladin's dream.
I didn't remember two specific Thrills, if they are explicitly named then I guess we should only do two unless you want the cycle.
This seemed a bit overpowered for
, but since one mana for haste is overcosted per Expedite, adding a mana and haste balances it out.
Cost from
to
, now grants haste as well.
Based off of the Roborosewater card Infrection. Surprisingly flavorful and on color, it fit well with Kaladin using the Parshendi armor to distract the archers.
Sounds good. We can make some sort of green Shin card
4/23/16: Name change from Shin Merchant to Village Merchant to create a cycle with the existing Village Surgeon, Village Informant, Village Bully, and a future green common.
Note: I will look for some appropriate highstorm related flavor text.
Plus, mechanically, red really does represent Kaladin during his time as a bridgeman. He has haste. He is supposed to get out and lay the bridges before everyone else. He makes the attack more effective by drawing attention to himself, and making his allies less likely to die, and giving them a greater opportunity to lay down counter measures. He only gets better at this last part as his time as a bridgeman continues.
Red is also the color of impulse, risky maneuvers, and the desire for freedom, all of which fit Kal as a bridgeman. Black and white have the political, calculating aspect of leadership, as well as white having some of the inspiration, but red has a lot of the emotion of the bridge crew with Kaladin (see Zealous Conscripts).
Is red really the color of charisma, though? I never really saw it that way. In fact Black or White seems more likely to me, being the colors best suited to politicians and religious leaders. even depressed slave kaladin doesn't fit my idea of red. I can't argue the balance things, since the only red I can think of offhand would be b/r stormform types (that seems the best combination for them) at least until we get some more radiant types.
Looks good.
4/22/16: Added formshift and created back face. Front face p/t from 1/2 to 0/2 for balance with added bonus of formshift.
How's this?
Sure, I guess a lot of our radiants blur books.
