A really neat mechanic, imo. As Link said, you would have to a word other than attach that works from exile. Only thing I could come up with is change the mechanic name to Descendant and have the reminder text say: "..you may exile a creature card from your graveyard as an ancestor to this card, if you do..." but then, Ancestry sounds a lot cooler.

I also think you can save text space by saying "When this creature enters the battlefield... if you do, this creature gets +1/+1 and..." i.e. Unearth Dregscape Zombie, Haunt Absolver Thrull, Transfigure Fleshwrither, etc.

LivesByProxy is correct. Reminder text doesn't utilize card names.

I really like ancestry, but if I were designing it, I would be tempted to broaden it so that you could do some neat things with it. I made Bloodline Shaman and Bloodline Breaker as examples. This gives the mechanic both a simpler version and the ability to make more complex cards that utilize it.
