Note note; Lots of changes. Feel free to disregard the next paragraph.

Man it's weird when I get a card that there's nothing wrong with. This could be an uncommon, technically, but it's a nasty trick on par with Turn the Tables, so rare is fine. The ability to destroy attacking creatures is technically white... but the card is doing something black with that creature, so it stands.

Someone on Gatherer mentioned that this should be a Shade token instead of a Spirit token, and I think I agree with that. But it doesn't seem worth it to change that one minor, quibbling detail.

The Masters Edition version is uncommon and I'd say Turn the Tables could be as well. Black definitely can get an expensive, obvious two-for-one removal spell at uncommon. Don't make it a Shade, though; Shades always need a pump ability.

Fair on both points. Unfortunately, this set may be starved for rares by the time I'm done. There's plenty of weird cards from this time, but not many sweeping powerhouses. I'll keep my eyes open for black uncommons, though, that can swap with this card. Or general swapping around from other colors. Joven and Chandler are bound to knock a few things over in their rush to join rare from their current status as commons.

I think I'd disagree on shade; I'd expect that to have a {b}:+1/+1 ability

Note that this card was the inspiration for Nemesis Trap, which further suggests uncommon could be fine.

Oh, hold it. Reflection is a creature type. This should probably make Reflection creature tokens. Not as synergistic, but at least it's the right type.

The overhaul on this card happened here when it occurred to me that this would be a better card if it read non-vampire (you know... mirrors...) I really didn't like the 'attacking' clause in black. But I also had room for a BW rare. And if this was the marquee Black-White rare, then it should be rather powerful for its cost.

Templating note: creature types are always capitalised, and get a hyphen in their "non-" forms. See Call to the Grave, Rend Flesh etc. I was surprised to see this turn gold, but it makes sense (Nemesis Trap was pretty weird), and I do love the flavourful almost-trinket "non-Vampire" exception :)

Huh. I capitalized vampire, but maybe I didn't export the image. Will have to look into it.
