Hmm. Returning a creature as a one-off is popular (like Unearth), but doing it when a creature you control dies is a bit odd. It requires outside help to trigger at a useful time, basically, because in typical games the time when most creatures will die is in combat.
So this mechanic will need effort to make it work. Which is fine as a one-off ability, but I'd question the choice to put it on 1) a gold legendary dragon, and 2) a keyworded mechanic rather than just the rules text to a one-off cryptic rare.
I think the name of the mechanic is a little off, and I'm going to fix it. Flavorwise, I think of it as a little more like soulshift than unearth. I know it will require some support, but I am going to put that support into this cube.
Also, many creatures with this ability will have tap abilities and/or etb abilities to help keep it useful.
It would be a lot easier to make use of if it exiled at the beginning of your next end step.
Ooh, that's a good idea. I think I'll do that. Thank you!
Are we sure we don't want exile at the end of your next end step?
yeah, I just changed that and the name of the mechanic.
